The one and only Jeff Samardzija

As most of you know I like sports, I really love going to watch games. There is just something about seeing a baseball game in the park, the beer taste better, the players are close to you. Going to a football game at Notre Dame, is amazing nothing is better! The crisp fall morning, the drive down there seeing all the leaves that have changed color, the tail gating, the sound of the crowd, the tradition! When I know I am going to see a game I can't sleep the night before, I feel like a kid! Well, Jeff Samardzija was a wide receiver (one of the guys who catches the ball) for Notre Dame 2003-2006 he broke many rushing records, he also played baseball at Notre Dame breaking s few pitching records too. After graduation the big question was NFL, MLB? I wasn't sure which one I would have rather seen him play. He was drafted by the Cubs, very exciting for me as that is one of the teams I love to watch. Jeff, was sent down to the minors I expected him to be moved up to the majors in 2-3 years. This past Friday he was called up to the majors however,I didn't know I got home late and missed it! I didn't miss him close out the game today 8th and 9th innings!! He really did better that I expected, the game itself was just a great game to watch very exciting. It was so fun to see him play again, the only thing that would have made it better is if I had someone to watch it with or, if I was at the game! The Football team goes to Mass before every game, then walk together as a team to the stadium. This picture was taken then, I was very starr struck, and couldn't say "Hey Jeff", all I could do is snap about 100 pictures! This is him looking at me thinking what the"F" is this chick doing?
